Jagdtiger resembled the King Tiger with the difference of having a superstructure instead of the turret and had much higher profile what made it a large target for the enemy.Jagdtigers were mounted with two different types of running gear, Henschel’s gear (74 models) and Porsche’s gear (11 models produced from February to September of 1944)
The number of Jagdtigers produced was adequate to equip two units, schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 653 and schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 512. sPzJagAbt 512 was formed in the Summer of 1944 and was composed of two companies (1st company was commanded by Albert Ernst and became Kampfgruppe Ernst, 2nd company by Otto Carius) and was commanded by Major Scherf.Elements of sPzJagAbt 512 took part in the Operation "Fruhlingerswachen" in Hungary (part of VI SS Panzer Army), and then in the defence of the Fatherland on both Western and Eastern Front
Radio Controlled (included):
This kit is identical than the "Static" Jagdtiger, including the pre-drilled holes for the rail system, extra resin in the road-wheels, and adds a number of opening hatches for easy access to the RC components. It includes important features like two inner railings, track tension idlers, and RC functionality:
TTMS Motorization System, High Profile - allows speed of up to 4.0 mph (6.4 km/hr) with 450W motors, or 3.0 mph with 250W motors. Lower or higher speeds can be achieved by changing the sprocket size on the chain drive.
MPSS Suspension System - for a smooth ride in the roughest environments. Eighteen swing arms with patented individual coil spring system, designed for up to 300 lbs weight.
Track Tension - Idler track tensioner added to main suspension rail. It maintains track tension and avoid de-tracking in sharp turns.
All bushings, rails, springs, bolts and steel sleeves associated with the running gears, suspension, idlers and sprockets
Easy access to the internal components. The turret roof can be lifted, most hatches can be opened.
Electronic Control System: Speed controllers for the two motors, and the turret rotation. Emergency switch on the back panel. All wiring necessary and fuse box.
Resin and plastic accessories of the standard FOA017 Jagdtiger to retain accuracy, with added bolt holes to secure them during movement or vibration.
Detailed Exhaust System, with potential upgrade to a working smoking system (available soon)
Tracks and road-wheels are made of ABS plastic, with steel reinforcement for the wheels. Sprockets are 12-gauge steel with aluminum hubs. Idlers are in resin. Field experiments showed the durability of these components.

This is a huge product so you will need some space to build and display it. The hull and body were simple to assemble and went together well. The suspension is heavy duty and fully adjustable. The drive and road wheels stand up well to RC use but I'd recommend taking lots of time to make sure the tracks line up well with all of the many road wheels. The working suspension looks great when driving the beast around. The RC components all work great and are fairly easy to assemble. FOA has great customer support for questions. This is my favourite build so far. This is a link to a video of my project test drive.
